Most important IT events in Cluj in this spring
Our dear city, Cluj-Napoca, will host this spring some really cool IT events that we want to share with you, as they are not only about IT but also regard marketing issues. So let’s start:
3rd of March – Jonathan Shieber, Senior Editor at TechCrunch & CrunchBase, comes to Cluj
The speaker will be presenting a workshop dedicated to entrepreneurs and communication specialists about international PR and how big publications choose their subjects and articles. This presentation will be very useful for any IT company or international brand that wants bigger exposure. The event will take place at Liberty Technology Park, and is organised in partnership with Rat Labs and Sperik Accelerator. 19th – 20th of March – Cluj Innovation Days
If you are looking for some IT inspiration, you don’t want to miss this event. Cluj Innovation Days is an annual forum aimed to consolidate the IT community and to facilitate the interaction with business partners, as well as the public sector. This project is developed by Cluj IT cluster, in order to foster innovation in the region.
Just before the conference, you can try to bring your ideas to life at the Hackathon that will take place on 14th-15th of March, at the Students Culture Hall in Cluj-Napoca.
24th – 26th of April – Startup Weekend Cluj
SW Cluj is the marathon of developing, pitching, testing, implementing business ideas in just three days, with the help of coaches and mentors. This event is already at the 4th edition in Cluj. If you are looking of having your own online/ digital/ IT business and you don’t already have a winning idea, SW Cluj can help you get your first investment and start living your dream.
And we have one last recommendation for you … even though this event it’s not in the spring, but at the beginning of summer.
6th – 9th of June – Techsylvania
4 days of inspirational speeches on technology from international and local speakers. Compared with the other events, Techsylvania is oriented also to hardware, as much as to software solutions. The Hackathon of this event will be focused on creating apps for wearables (like Google Glass, Leap Motion, Jawbone etc.).
